Louise Giles is a professional communicator with extensive experience in corporate communications, newspaper reporting, and television news production.
In her 36 years with a major domestic automaker, she developed key messages for executive communications and wrote speeches for the corporate chairman and other key executives. She has extensive experience in stockholder communications, Web site development, special events coordination, and news writing.
A native of the Detroit area, she has a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in English literature from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science degree from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in New York City.
She began her career as a general assignment reporter for The Cleveland Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio. After promotion to higher education reporter at The Plain Dealer, Louise returned to the Detroit area as a City Room reporter for The Detroit News. She stepped up to broadcast news at WWJ-TV Channel 4 in Detroit, owned by The Detroit News, as an editor, writer, and news producer. From there she made the move to corporate communications and the auto industry.
She currently spends her time as an automotive reporter and videographer for NewCarNews.TV, covering major auto shows in the U.S. and abroad.
